Imagine being convicted of a crime you genuinely didn’t know was a crime.. lol. But yeah, when you think about this series it’s always flashy fights with flashy colours all around but yeah, have to give one thing, the way they brought in Higuruma’s character in between all of this. The arc goes down the drain the more we go ahead, but then there were characters like him who, in a very genuine sense, made up for a lot of stuff. It’s always Itadori though getting the short end of the stick xD

Knew the direction would be on point, and yeah, obviously, it was. They actually did make Higuruma’s technique look more visually daunting, and it worked in every way. The stuff with Hakari earlier this season wasn't actually a highlight for Itadori and how much the guy has improved, but yeah, here, we know Higuruma kind of let his guard down when Itadori accepted his guilt, but yeah, take nothing away from Itadori. The guy has convinced yet another man.. btw loving the music choices we’re getting throughout this season. Really let you feel and think more about the character.

Rule added, and yeah, we move now.

The unusual battle between Itadori and Higuruma has started, and as you'd expect, it was not an easy one for Yuji. The ultimate domain for this kind of thing, and Yuji is at the center of it. He had no choice but accept his fate inside it and go by the law set inside. One of my favorite battles in the series. Judgeman is so creepy and cool. The voice matches perfectly as well.

And, they absolutely delivered on all fronts. The direction, emotions, and funny moments as well. Yuji was very funny in this episode. Love him. Pachinko got him in trouble. The action, as always, was spectacular. A treat for the eyes. Beautiful. The second chance Yuji got was touching, as he admitted. And, my goodness, Yoshimasa Terui cooked so hard with that soundtrack. So fucking good. I had chills and tears at the same time. I kneel. Also, Gosso Kaisen is back, as this was once again storyboarded by the director himself. Such a perfect episode. Incredible work.

Kogane is cute. Don't skip the after credits.

Wow, this Phoenix Wright spin-off went in a very weird direction, even for the franchise.

Ooh Yuji takes his shirt off, should have stay that way through the whole arc.

This "rules within rules" episode is the proof that you can enjoy even if you don't understand any of this messy situation, thanks to the production quality. Jujutsu Kaisen is now officially "turn your brain off" anime.

Most entertaining Conan episode ever.

Craziest thing about this arc is it’s an accurate depiction of the Japanese legal system. The weight of Higuruma’s gavel being symbolic of the overwhelming weight and pressure placed on people by the justice system to admit to things they didn’t do. Not everyone is Itadori Yuji and can wiggle their way out of it though. Also LMAO at this whole crime being going in a damn pachinko parlor.

Higuruma is genuinely an amazing dude, too pure for the legal system.

So he became a judge and gained a curse technique to execute that judge and the prosecutor. He doesn't want to execute Yuji, so he comes back to his roots as a defender to defend Yuji from his Domain.

Not defending Yuji, but depending where you are, you could trip and fall inside a pachinko parlor in Japan. So many pachiko parlors around.

Yuji fully confident that would be a retrial of the pachinko case, just to be about the one event that he wholly regret.

No better way to resolve the internal conflict within Itadori than a lawyer telling you you're innocent. Even if Higaruma didn't want to be a judge, by law, he had to remind people of their rights regardless of their self-guilt. I love him so much.

One of the best épisode of Jjk, they nailed it. Higuruma is the kind of character who, despite limited screen time, leaves a lasting impression. A self-taught genius, but with such an interesting personality, he makes you want to see more of his life as a lawyer. Yuji used his shonen protagonist power to turn another enemy who wanted him dead into an ally, haha. A perfect adaptation so far.

Definitely a different type of "fight" than one would expect in an action shounen, but very fitting considering Higuruma's profession. The action, as has been the case all season, was well-directed and fantastically animated. I also liked the Higuruma glaze from the narrator that shows just how smart he is. To work backward and retroactively deduce how jujutsu sorcery works, and to improve this much as a sorcerer in less than 2 weeks, shows how this guy is quite literally a prodigy, no exaggeration.

A solid 5/5, an absolute gem of an episode. Pardon my glazing. First and foremost, I LOVE Hiromi. The fight was a masterpiece, especially when Hiromi surrendered as soon as he realized it was pointless to keep going. But I guess, as Hajime Umemiya said, talking with fists ain't always so bad.

Man that was peak.

The systems of law and the complexities of cursed energy blend together perfectly, so of course a laywer prodigy would be naturally talented as a sorcerer. This is one of the few times where Jujutsu Kaisen's overindulgence with it's own power-system complexities works seemlessly with the themes and narrative, as it reflects the justice system itself.

But the star of the show here is Higurama. He is easily one of the most well-written and intriguing characters in the entire series, especially when you put him side-by-side with Yuji's cog mentality and optimism. I haven't been this pleased with how the adaptation brings to life the inner workings of a JJK character since Geto in early S2. More Higurama and less Yuta and Megumi please.

Not to mention the direction, ost usage, animation and art are all perfect. Gonzo really is trying to make his last JJK season his magnum opus production-wise. This is the type of adaptation people dream about when they read a manga. 5/5

What an incredible episode. In presentation, narrative and character it was nothing less than perfect. Higuruma leaves such a strong impression in only 2 episodes and while his character arc has a fitting conclusion, I do still hope he returns.

yep, i knew it... just like with the lawyer's backstory i already had too much 'pre-existing info' in my head to worry when Shibuya and Halloween were brought up by Judgeman.
without getting too 'lawyerese' or me needing to use tons of spoiler tags... he didn't do it, because it wasn't him, and it wasn't his fault it wasn't him.

it was a cool fight though. the lawyer does have one shortcoming with those gavels... he hasn't figured out how to make them appear EXCEPT nearabouts his hands. if he could 'pop em out' anywhere or just make em 'fly out of somewhere' and not need to 'throw em' with his hands? that would be alot better. knowing the source point of a torrent of flying objects DOES make it a smidge easier to predict their trajectories and suchforth. plus, if you can disable one or more of his arms/hands? that might be a problem, or it might not be... i'm just spitballing thoughts.

that encounter really did weigh in more on the plus side for Yuuji though. if it had been Megumin? hmmm ehhh i doubt he woulda won if he got his shikigami 'Confiscated'. he's a good fighter, but definitely not physically as capable as Yuuji without body enhancing cursed energy. but if JUST the shikigami got 'Confiscated' but not cursed energy manipulation itself? maaybe Megumin woulda won? hmm... interesting idea. ah well, just another 'what if?' concept. :D

This has to be the craziest episode since the Maki episode! Higuruma was moving like an absolute DEMON while fighting Yuji! Though you gotta give massive credit to Yuji as well for managing to get through that with zero cursed energy.

Also, yeah Higuruma we see the fit no need to aura farm like that 😭

This season has had zero cohesiveness to it but is more about standalone episodes and what experiences they can bring if you can just ignore the rest. On its own, MAPPA definitely was great with how they executed this with Higuruma and Itadori this time around visually and mostly with the music too. That's all I can say though about this and even most of the season. Culling Game in general is just like that in its nature sadly, but at least there were good moments to this one that worked for this episode alone than the whole arc.

What an episode. I didn't realize I was holding my breath until the episode was over and I let out a breath.

Glad they cooked for Higaruma vs Yuji. Next ep we'll see Megumi vs Reggie. May he restore some of his reputation with that fight at least cuz it's no fun slandering Bumgumi without any defense. It's like being a prosecutor with no defense attorney to fight against.

Also so yeah confirmed two points from the judge and prosecutor, so obviously, yeah, he didn't kill the girl he was with or any of the other random people, obviously. 102 points 100 from 20 sorcerers and then the 2 from those two.

Higuruma is one of the best dudes that I have seen so far in this show. Itadori taking the blame with no excuses for the mass killing in Shibuya which made even Higuruma at a loss for words.

The direction, storyboard, animation and the music were absolute bonkers. Sugita's voice acting for Higuruma was phenomenal. I hope we get to see Higuruma once again.

Amazing animation, interesting story and great soundtrack. One of the best episodes this season for sure.

But they really need to stop it with the Tengen narration over action scenes. It's so annoying, I just want to watch the fight and not be given an explanation at the same time. I feel like the director didn't even consider that a lot of people watch this with subtitles. This is the third time he's done this in S3 and it actually kind of ruins the fights for me.
