This story does not deserve this animation. So many people here giving inflated scores because it's flashy, but the story is seriously lacking, the pacing is everywhere, and it simply does not have the charm it did seasons ago, when even that was best classified as "not great, but not bad". Overhyped nonsense. Inane garbage like this gets a million seasons while great anime are cut short with no explanation. I do like the weird costume guy, and that's literally all I like this season. Someday my grandchildren will ask me, "grandpa, why is art dead?", and I will respond because the industry killed it.

Wait so you're telling me that Takaba could unseal Gojo if he found it funny?

Why Tengen didn't tell Megumi about it??? Are they stupid?

Uhm... This episode successfully captures Megumi’s nickname—Mr. Potential Man. Objectively speaking, the Megumi vs. Reggie fight was pretty disappointing.

Let’s talk about K1RO’s cut. Objectively speaking, what exactly did we see in that scene? It was way too rough; even in terms of composition, I really hated it—it was way too dark. Plus, Tengen-sama REALLY loves to yapp on every fight scene, which makes it hard to stay focused.

At least Julian Bentley saved part of this fight. Even though it was very short, I’d say this scene healed some of the wounds inflicted by this episode.

Reggie’s death scene was handled very well. The OST was the strongest part of this episode.

Remi’s scene is one of my favorites in this episode. And the OST is always the best part of this episode.

I felt so sad seeing Megumi so upset in this episode. After Reggie, he had to deal with Remi, and of course, his older sister managed to talk him out of it.

YUTAAAAAAA, JANE JULIET, and UROO LOOK AMAZINGGG.

Although I’m disappointed with the runtime being only 27+ minutes, and they’re going to adapt the full 7 chapters of this arc? Hopefully it won’t feel rushed like the Zenin clan episode.

Very good fight, Although I still dont like the part where the narrator info dumps us in the middle of the fight, Had to watch that part twice to see the action.

The next episode though, It will make or break this season for me. Yuta's my favourite character and I hope they dont mess up his fight, He's gonna be all over reels next week, Maximum aura next week!

I don't mean to nitpick on what is overall a really good episode that a lot of passion was put into, but where the literal fuck is Megumi's burn scar? They put so much emphasis on it last episode. It didn't need to be that bad and wasn't that bad in the manga. But they went and gave it to him anyway. And now it's gone? I think where they're going here is that Megumi unlocking 120% of his potential buffed his healing but that changes the way domains work then -- it was never established that domains auto refresh previous damage.

Episode is otherwise perfect imo.

Hands! Hands! Hands! Strait mother fucking hands! The animators know what's coming for our boy, and pulled out all the stops before "the nuke hits." This might be one of the best animated hand to hand combat scenes out there. Period.

Loved the Megumi vs Reggie fight, surprised he wasn't a modern sorcerer with his receipt technique.

Sadden that this season will be over next week, I feel like it just started.

Reggie fight went on a bit longer than I thought it would but it just goes to show how strong Reggie was, Fushiguro had to do damn near everything to beat this guy, even after trying to crush him with an elephant and then suffocate him in the shadow, bro just comes back out on top of a car lol, then he proceeds to drop a house on Fushiguro, man I’m gonna miss Reggie so much because his fight is easily one of the most fun in the entire series. And once the two of them could no longer use cursed techniques, it came down to an old fashioned brawl, well until Fushiguro used that dog anyway, I kinda wish it just played out with the raw hand to hand action but Fushiguro winning with his planning does make sense.

And so that’s a big RIP to Reggie, he appeared for the first time in this season and made one of the best impressions. And he was a past sorcerer too? I thought he was a modern one because of the receipts, well now his strength makes a bit more sense. And before leaving us, Reggie forked over his points to make things interesting. For a guy like Reggie who made things interesting himself, I can appreciate that lol. Buuuut then Fushiguro collapsed after sparing Remi, and then the Angel they were looking for appeared, that’s cool but it looks like next week the focus is shifting to Yuta for the Part 1 finale, about time he got some action again since I thought he was supposed to be more prominent this season, better late than never.

Also, Takaba’s technique can even go against Gojo’s? That is insane lol, can’t believe a joke character like him is capable of that, but apparently he doesn’t understand his technique himself, so I guess that’s how it balances out, it reminds me of Okuyasu from Jojo who’s a similar case in having a super strong ability, but his dumbassery nerfs him lol.

I really like how they handled Reggie's death, the piano playing in the background while his blood spills into the pool was just really well done, and Reggie foreshadowing Megumi's future with his last words was a nice touch (if you know you know). Also, are they actually going to manage to cover the entirety of Sendai colony in just one episode next week? Cause it would really kill the hype of that colony if they just ended it on a cliffhanger and made everyone wait like a year+ just to see the continuation of it.

Kind of a weird episode. On one hand I did kinda enjoy the battle, and yet I didn't. Cool visuals and action, but it's always somewhat frustrating watching this show (something that I don't typically feel in other battle-type anime) when these stupid powers and their rules get complicated and that narrator doesn't shut up. Hard to follow the action while trying to make sense of what is happening strategy-wise because I'm constantly looking down at the subtitles.

Did kind of like the part where Megumi started getting suspicious of Tengen... However, I haven't read the manga so not sure if that is teasing anything.

Disappointed with the Takaba fight. I like gag characters but the end of this episode made it seem like he was just really stupid, or crazy? Like I guess the same could be said for his appearance last episode, but that could have been him just fucking with people. At the end of this episode he just seems like a unhinged instead of jokester. That makes him a lot less interesting.

@Futter Imagine thinking his ability is the cause of bad rating.
@Nycro It's definitely what I disliked about the episode even if the ratings are bots. Okay, so the guy summons stuff from receipts and other contracts. Cool cool, and it's a cute idea to then make an outfit out of the receipts. But how does he pick them out from the hundreds? Just does. Alright, senses it or something, so he buys a lot of weapons and has an armory on hand? Nah, he makes the objects fly around and do whatever he wants. Well that seems like a totally unrelated power that really didn't need the whole receipts thing. So did he clear out a hardware store or something else cheap and uses that for projectiles? Partially, but he's also got receipts for a few cars and a whole house. You know, as you do...

It's just... why do we have all this narrator explanation time when the powers get to do whatever the hell anyway?

It's the best episode after Maki's annihilation of Zen'in Clan. The background musics were superb. Megumi is the MVP. Finally, the angel has arrived. The player introduction was great. Uro is so hot.
Finally, Yuta begins his hunt.

JJK episode 11 concludes the battle between Megumi and Reggie Star. Another case when JJK battles becomes much more interesting when it's built on mind games and tension. Our moody hero never looked like a winner, making the fight ambiguous & intense until the last second. Megumi wins the battle of attrition in his own domain, then conveniently ends up in the arms of a local Angel. Plot briefly mentions the power of Comedian, which, in theory, rivals Gojo's. This could be helpful against the toughest villains. The last segment recaps events in the other colony: four powerful sorcerers reached a stalemate until Yuuta effortlessly chopped a Dhalsim-looking mage (who had the most points in the area). Hopefully, we see him kick some ass before the showrunners make us wait another year.

Episode was great. I was so excited when I thought reggie and megumi were going to do some like, hand to hand combat, but how it played out made way more sense.
Also, I cannot wait for the next episode. Yuta’s entry was so sick, cannot wait for the rest of Sendai Colony to get animates

They’ll never make me hate Megumi. That fight was dope, Riley’s cut in particular was amazing.

The weird misogynistic bit at the end lost me tho. All men are wolves, but the wolves handle all the complex things for me because I’m too stupid to think for myself, like what lol.

Anyway, MY GOAT YUTA BACK NEXT WEEK FINALLY. He and Maki the only reason I even watch this bullshit so I’m excited for that.

I think that it was maybe an example of the type of people who don’t want to fight against misogyny, even if they’re suffering from it, maybe? I’m not sure entirely, but it seemed like an example of some people, especially women, who don’t want to fight against misogyny, since they aren’t facing any struggles from it that they’re aware of, or they’re too scared to fight back, if that makes sense.

That’s exactly what it is, but that is misogyny because you’re participating in it. It’s internalised misogyny

So mchreading while they're fighting ! It's a meme that's gotta stick cuz it's real - Also Fushiguro is getting saved the Angel ? I wonder how that' going to play out in this last episode ... With all the main big other sorcerers revealed and a lead on what Yuta is doing in his region we're bound to have one big liff hanger at the end because no way with see a fourway fight, what about Panda, Maki, Yuji?

There are several things that I don't understand, but the most important one is what is this about the continuity of the games?

It clearly has to stop at some point, you can incentivize people to kill each other as much as you want, if people are not dumb, and they are not, once the games start, there will not be any new participants. Everybody will enter shortly and depending on how strong they are, they will kill everybody else.

It is essentially designed to be a "short" culling. Don't see the continuity there.

@PettankoLover It is supposed to be annoying, in the last episode there was that sceene that lasted 40 seconds of everybody being uncomfortable. That's the point of his techinque. He is not funny, but the more ignored and misunderstood he is and the more he thinks he is funny, the more real and powerfull are his jokes.

While I overall enjoyed the fight with Reggie and Potential Man, it really does feel like this could've all been done in 1 episode instead of 2.
I assume the studio has a plan for the overall season to space it out this way so Ima trust.
Next week is Yuta's episode finally, feel like it's gonna go crazier than the Maki episode.
